HOWARD HUGHES MEDICAL INSTITUTE SYMPOSIUM

The HHMI symposium on Wednesday, July 26, is focused on the many accomplishments in the field of structural biology since the first HHMI investigator in structural biology was appointed in 1986. In the intervening years the number of HHMI structural biology investigator has grown to 27. During this time the generous support of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute has allowed these investigators to work on high risk-high payoff investigations that would have been difficult to pursue otherwise.
Dr. Paul Sigler of Yale University who died suddenly this winter organized this symposium. It is to his memory this symposium is dedicated.
