Serials of Macrocyclic Ligands With Divalent Metal Ions: Structures and Analysis. Deyuan Kong and Abraham Clearfield, Dept. of Chemistry, Texas A&M Univ., College Station, TX, 77842-3012

A serials of macrocyclic ligands with hexaaza and octaaza-donors have been synthesized via template reaction. The Macrocyclic rings size changed from 24-32 membered and provided different cavity for metal ions. In the crystal structures, bridged and separated phenolic binding modes were observed. The crystal structures of homodinuclear and heterodinuclear macrocyclic complexes will be discussed in detail.
