Fiber Diffraction Committee Report 2006Although the Fiber Diffraction SIG did not sponsor a session this year’s meeting, we have been active in other meetings. Most notably, we are co-sponsoring the FiberNet Fiber Diffraction workshop at Fall Creek Falls State Park, Tennessee, on Aug 6-9, 2006 with FiberNet, the NSF-sponsored research coordination network for biological fiber diffraction, and BioCat, the NIH-supported research center that runs beamline 18-ID at the Advanced Photon Source. The workshop will feature neutron fiber diffraction, in conjunction with the beginning of operations at the Spallation Neutron Source at the nearby Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
