The Microcapillary Protein Crystallization Workshop (MPCW) will be a hands-on experience, where participants get a chance to learn the techniques involved in performing various cutting-edge microcapillary protein crystallization techniques. Represented at the workshop will be techniques such as plug-based microfluidics, micropipet crystallization and microfluidic counterdiffusion methods. This will be a hands-on workshop so that participants can test the techniques themselves using their own proteins, with trained users of the microcapillary techniques available each day. In addition, the workshop will include a demonstration of the in situ diffraction capabilities of the micrpcapillary techniques during a trip to the Advanced Photon Source (APS) at Argonne National Laboratories (ANL) just 5 miles away.
The workshop will take place in the Chicago suburb or Woodridge, IL on June 6-7, (the two days following the 2008 ACA conference) just a short drive or flight away from Knoxville, Tennessee. Participation will be limited to 20 so be sure to register early. For more information, or to register, visit the workshop website at www.mpcw2008.org or contact:
