Anthocyanin is an antioxidant and pigment frequently found in berries, fruit, and grapes (i.e. red wine). This entry is a photograph of models of ligands that were complexed to the Protein Databank structure 1gp5.pdb. The sculptures were carved from solid 4 inch blocks of walnut and maple which were 10 cm. thick. They were finished with several coats of marine-grade polyurethane spar varnish.
