Mission Statement

The American Crystallographic Association (ACA) is a member society of the American Institute of Physics (AIP), an affiliate member of the International Union of Crystallography, promoting interactions among scientists who study the structure of matter at atomic (or near atomic) resolution. These interactions advance experimental and computational aspects of crystallography and diffraction.

The ACA adheres to the IUCr Scientific Freedom Policy Statement:

The ACA shall observe the basic policy of non-discrimination and affirms the right and freedom of scientists to associate in international scientific activity without regard to such factors as citizenship, religion, creed, political stance, ethnic origin, race, color, language, age or sex, in accordance with the Statutes of the International Council for Science.
